Hey I'm Bryan

Hi, I’m Bryan Frost, interior designer, vintage hoarder and founder of Black Awning. I specialize in designing and decorating historic homes in, and around Omaha, Nebraska. I’m a graduate of the University of Nebraska at Kearney’s Interior Design Program, and I use my wide array of skill sets to bring a sense of style and function to each project.

Whether I’m designing a space for a client, shopping for treasures at flea markets, or drawing up plans for a remodel, I rely on my years of experience and instinct to make every space feel unique and intentional. As a designer, my job is to help you tell your story through the pieces you’ve collected in your home. Your space should feel authentically you, cool, laid-back and most definitely chic.

My current design aesthetic is centered around mixing vintage inspired decor with chic bohemian textures. Think Anthropologie, Justina Blakeney and Nate Burkus. I’m obsessed with texture, patterns, moroccan everything, layered rugs, plants, plants, plants, tapestries, gold, candles, fiddle leaf figs, succulent planters, woven textiles and historic homes. #allaboutthatvase #bohostyle

Get the Goods. Find Black Awning’s vintage goods in my online store and at select pop-up markets year round. I’m always adding to my unique collection of one-of-a-kind vintage furniture pieces, tapestries, glass & tableware and moroccan rugs which you can find for sale in the Black Awning Shop (coming soon).
